Systems of Accountability: In this unit students will learn about creating interdependent, accountable, brave spaces which includes learning about the land they are on and the indigenous people of that land. This unit is inspired by Episode 1 of Women in Conversation with Chandra Banks, District Wide Conflict Mediator at Cambridge Public Schools

Working with Natural Medicine: In this unit students will learn how people, land, and medicine have been and continuously are connected. Students will be able to analyze the impact of labor on people’s bodies and how different communities have resisted exploitative conditions by creating their own systems of community care. This unit is inspired by Episode 2 of Women in Conversation with Sonia Espinosa, co-founder of the Massachusetts Recreational Consumer Council & EatMe.Land.

The Art of Storytelling: In this unit students will become familiar with various forms of storytelling, encouraging them to share their own. This unit is based off of Episode 3 of Women in Conversation with Elizabeth Acevedo, New York Times Bestseller, National Book Award Winner, and Carnegie Medal winner for her book The Poet X

Freedom Dreaming: In this unit, students will be given the task to create their own communities that include reimagining school systems, accountability models, and safety protocols through a collective process. This unit is based off of Episode 4 of Women in Conversation with Nia Evans, Director of Boston Ujima Project.
